The McGowan Govt held it’s own fracking enquiry that went on for a year that confirmed fracking was safe just like the other 23m enquiries before it and the John Butler Trio and the Knittin’ Nannas woz smokin’ too much wacky backy and it still banned fracking in most of WA where they don’t realise John Butler is a yank with the specific exceptions of specific existing Exploration Licences, including those held by BRU and Mitsubishi including EP371 now held by BME.
The additional years of delay since then are down to the lengthy implementation plan and legislating the Code of Practice, which should all be finalised this year after frittering away ridiculous amounts of WA tax payers’ money and the opportunity to turn WA into the Abu Dhabi of the Southern Hemisphere, but happen it will, in time.
