The polish princess (NWS media name) is Annastacia Palaszczuk (her father was a QLD Labour politician in the infamous Bjelke-Petersen era when Hawke beat Howard due to the Joh for PM putsch). Annastacia became Opposition Leader in QLD by default & is probably the only thing that could stand in the way of DOW going to $6.50 to $7 as DOW will be major beneficiary of a LNP win in QLD this weekend so 2morrow is last chance b4 the bounce that LLC, TAH & TCL got in the Victorian State election.
Other potential QLD LNP bounce recipients other than DOW: ORG, SXY & their main general insurer SUN IMHO but pls DYOR. Not BoQ as the macroeconomics overwhelms any post-election homebuying uphoria for BOQ.
Bounce recpients for the NZ election were Spark, SPK, the energy companies, AIZ, CNU & of course Fletcher. Insurrs did well out of Key's win but they are mainly east coast Oz/Asian insurance carriers.
