Hi jdcav, I bought a Nikon D80 about a year ago, so I'm not up on the latest features. What made me decide on Nikon is a friend could reuse his old film based camera Nikon lenes onto the latest Digital Nikon. As I understand with Canon, you have to go out and buy a new set of lenes every time you upgrade your camera.

My experience with camera sepeciality shops is that if you start to talk about Canon they will try and sell you a Canon, ditto with Nikon.
