JD, I have a great friend who shot my wedding, she swears by Canon and most pro's she knows use Canon. I use a Canon (lower end) and love it. Nikon are brilliant, so you can't go wrong. Whichever you like the look and feel of most, make sure you get a quality memory card that writes fast enough to suit the camera.
