If you want to view the whole thread simply delete the word single in the address bar and replace it with the word thread, ie:

http://www.hotcopper.com.au/post_thread.asp?fid=4&tid=68966&sym=&MSGNO=74050#74050

it's a pain in the ass doing it for every topic but it is a way to get around the problem...
