Why turn off all communications if it's good news?
Well, maybe the directors are trying to avoid scrutiny? In someway they're trying to take the high moral ground.... unusual I know however, its happened before. I think it's rare type of hubris sometimes associated with new found success.
With a bit of luck we'll all be suffering from it soon.
