NG and CGT discount cost the government 11.7 billion in 2016. Revenue from SD was 19 billion approx. nationwide in 2016.
A broader land tax in conjunction with a restriction on NG & CGT discount will substitute the lost revenue generated from abolishing the land transfer tax.
It will create a population that is more flexible and fluid with ease of upsizing, downsizing and relocating to any other needs.
