MBL planned bid is by a scheme of arrangement which I think needs only 75% approval at a special shareholders meeting. MBL will need to finalise its bid early next week before Tol's bid expires.
Once the bid is lobbed I expect MBL's shareprice to rocket. MBL will make a motza in fees and the public will be paying for it through one of the macquarie funds.
Lets not forget on the 16th of May Macquarie will be releasing their full year result and the amount of the dividend they will be paying.
The next couple of weeks should be win win for Macquarie.
