Gold stocks found a bid overnight trade in the US. The gold stock indices are up 7% at market close after gold fell as much as 4% to below US$1446 and then turned around to approach US$1500 again. Silver and other precious metals have gotten heavily sold off with rhodium falling some 30% after having its wild run to US$11000. So, is that the bottom we saw with gold miners given the Dow fell 2800 points (13%)? I am going to guess for now we may have seen the first signs the precious metals selling down has been done. But further Dow dumping as wild as we have seen, say heading back to 15000, could drag precious metals down. Otherwise, I think it is looking like the weak hands and margin investors got washed out.
