No you don't, you just get a miserably small dividend paid in a depreciating currency. The smart model for a gold company is to hoard the gold it produces to take advantage of the real tangible nature of that gold and that gold's ability to act as a hedge against a depreciating currency, but the only guy who tried to do that with an ASX gold company got attack by the banksters in a kangaroo court. The gold bullion holdings of that company would at today's gold price be worth more than $700 million and that company would/does continue to have exposure to unhedged gold production and pays a generous fully franked dividend yield. The other gold companies aren't allowed to do that because the banksters have control of them and don't want that. All they want the gold companies and all other foreign companies for is to burden with debt, make derivative products from, like ETF funds, that cement their control and inflate the value of their markets and keep their bubbles alive.Esh
