That is a really good point re XAUUSD. A reasonable amount of volume went through at 1550USD, although there was far more around 1300USD. The run up from 1550USD to the high is very thin in comparison.
Anything is possible. It could go down in a deflationary downdraught with everything else, then rise up to reflect the inflation we perceive / the proposed alternative figures from Shadowstats et al.
