I although believe the next time around there is going to be a run on the banks. The lucky first ones will have some cash and will convert it into something stable.
2008 Bank West imo was bankrupt, so was St. George, NAB had some liquidity problems and a whole lot of smaller banks/b.societies not far from folding. Too many people know, even if not true the run on the banks will happen. The motto, just in case I take my money out. Our banks will never cope with that.
