My experience is that companies shut off BPAY at precisely 5pm.... I have tried paying just after the cut off time in the past and have noticed that the Biller Code was no longer active. If the payment is accepted by your bank then companies will generally accept the payment as being made before the cutoff time even if it arrives through the system some days later.
