when people complain about a lack of news flow and it's effect on the s/p makes me think of two things,
"great news flies first class and not so great has to walk"
which is why we have quarterly reports,
weekly reports of drilling being affected by weather, breakdowns etc would trigger a slide greater than a ho hum quarterly imo.
the second thing is a joke about being careful what you ask for because you might not like the truthful answer.
"a fifo worker returns home and is going thru the pantry and finds an egg carton with one egg and a fat roll of 5 dollar bills inside, rather puzzled he asks his wife what it's all about, she looks at him and confesses that she has been unfaithful, and when she strayed she would put an egg in the carton,he takes it quite well considering he's worked away for 5 years, so what's the $400 dollars in 5 dollar notes all about he asked, well she said every time I got a dozen eggs I would sell them for $5."
