Thats not the way that Afren will operate (I know they aren't technically the operator but they are by the far the most experienced oil company in the JV and I assume will have a large say).

Targeting oil is the key here and thats what the first play will be on Aje. Once that FPSO and drilling platforms are in there, then tie back opportunities will be fast and cheap, hence if there is any synrify discovery, then it can be tied in but the key is getting that initial development.

With the timeline they are providing, I'm a little surprised that they are just sticking with the 2 well development strategy initially. I would have thought that with the timeline they are looking at they could look at upto 4 wells.
