Its not what you'd expect.... the best aquifers are usually the coal seams themselves... although in the Clarence Moreton you get thick and permeable sandstones as well.

I still find it quite a misnomer as it is the gas saturation that determines if the coal is holding water. There is definitely an easier and clearer way of saying it... that the wells are making no water.

This can be determined a variety of ways that don't include drilling on air.

Just thought it was weird way of expressing things....

And yah still chuckling at MEL's propriety technology.
