If you are or not share trader, you get to claim the tax loss or the capital but only if you sell. while they are off the boards they are nuthin. so in other words, they are worth say 16c to someone who paid 40c. My average is 30c and I have a few hundred thou, so I have to decide... will they go back up or should I get the tax benefit before june 30.
