I held this for many years between 2004 and early 2011 from early explorer to eventual producer through the ups and downs, trials and tribulations (GFC collapse!!), was a regular poster here, went to many presos, met CC a few times (a true gentleman) etc but in the end, the realistation that gold mining is a VERY difficult business to succeed in (look at all the ASX gold miners that have gone under during the current 'bull' market) and the continual tapping of the market for new funds broke the straw. Randalls has never looked like being a self funding project, which is what is needed to attract true investor attention. Cap raisings were fairly easy to predict as in this case with release of a company presentation (26 June) followed by a flurry of 'good' news announcements that do nothing for the sp.

Whilst I still made a good return on IGR, in hindsight I had fallen in love with it and viewed every announcement through rose tinted glasses when I shouldn't have. There are many on this forum who have succumbed to a similar fate. After this current raising IGR will have close to a billion shares on issue, a reducing grade, increasing costs, throughput issues with the plant, no real material increase in reserves for a long time, an expensive underground test project that could still go either way and is in a sector that is losing love every day. Sure, many will only look at the flipside of these issues but that is nothing more than confirmation bias..

There are over 2000 stocks listed on the ASX. Whilst I really wish the best of luck to all holders and the IGR team, it would be very hard to think that IGR is one of the best options to be holding right now..
