Governments are creating massive amounts of paper out of thin air. That's one of the reasons to invest in physical gold.

With this additional capital raising it appears to me that IGR, like Governments, is now also creating significant amounts of paper and showing why there is a difference between investing in physical gold and investing in some gold equities.

(There are some quality gold companies out there that have a history of not issuing large amounts of scrip and not diluting their shareholders.)

Obviously based on numerous excellent drilling results being released like the tremendous results this week IGR have serious expansion ambitions, but there's also such a thing as living within your means and realising those ambitions in a way that fully advantages current investors.

I still think IGR should prove to be an excellent medium term investment in this gold bull from around current prices, particularly as the gold price takes off again, but no doubt IGR's issuing of scrip once again is leaving a sour taste in the mouths of many investors who have paid significantly higher prices for their IGR shares and thought that IGR's cashflow would pay for IGR's exploration - not regular scrip issues - and at a price now worse than a 12 months low.
