Malaysians ONLY came on when there was a shortfall in a rights issue. Are you suggesting a rights issue or SPP, properly priced would be significantly under-subscribed?
Given this company's shareholders history of antagonism to placements (although the Khan/Dixon menage seem to have departed) is it something the board would likely consider?
And if nothing else Beach Boys presence does provide a stable block to oppose the Malaysians in any vote which wasn't present before. (Wonder when BBs will decide to roll the property developer and install one of there's in his place?) Although I suppose it does provide a large block of share's which may not take up a rights issue. Don't think so somehow- only if the universe has changed and your maths has suddenly become sound!
