If you go into Coles or Woolies, you will see the Capilano branded packs, these all contain 100% Aussie honey, But you will also see another brand called "Allowrie", this brand is owned by capilano and is a blend of Australian and imported honey, and it is labeled as such, and it sells at a cheaper price.

By doing it this way, Capilano can ensure there is always Australian honey on the shelf for people that want 100% Australian, but there is also a cheaper alternative for people that either don't mind imports or simply can't afford the higher priced Aussie Honey.

Without imports, when we have low production years, there would be no honey on the shelf or it would be super expensive, so it makes sense to import high quality honey to fill the gap
