Don’t disagree about overpaying on WD sole valuation but we all know they didn’t have a clear longevity story and they were sole asset risked. Other than find an alternative and better priced asset I’m not sure what you would have proposed that wasn’t a going out of business strategy? As always timing is a major factor and perhaps that forced their hand into a less than ideal acquisition.
