Hi guys,
A newbie question regarding capital gain.
Say if I buy 100 XYZ shares at $1, for a total of $100.
Few weeks later, SP goes up to $2, I sell 50 XYZ shares at $2, for a total of $100. (Not holding more than 1 year, free riding on the remaining 50 shares).
Assuming these are the only two transactions for this financial year, will I be subjected to $50 of capital gain? Or will it be calculated when I sell the remaining 50 shares later?
Thanks heap.
