One thing you have forgotten for those who don't have an allocated pension paid from their fund and therefore nil tax on profits, if you buy/sell shares as a trader then CGT does not apply unless you can prove that those shares were held as long term investments, therefore on these trading profits 15% tax would apply.
as for the benefits of allocated pensions, especially once you get to 60, they are the best thing since sliced bread and thats from an accountant.
