Forgot to mention
In case 1 you cannot allocate your total cost against the sale as you didn't sell all your shares
You can match the parcel that cost1000 or the parcel that cost 3000 or the average cost
Or. you could sell 25,000 shares from one parcel and 75,000 from another
As I always say; keep accurate records and you will be fine
