    When you've bought and sold multiple parcels of the same stock at differnt prices, how do you calculate the CTG? Is it just based on the average purchase price?

    Eg. If I buy 1000 shares, then buy 500 shares, then sell 600, how do I know what the purchase price for the parcel of 600 was? it gets confusing if the purchase price is variable.
