SoIholdoutforthe12monthstogetthe50%CGTdiscount,but,sadlyarenowonlyleftwitha$300paperloss.
Now,manywillthinkI'mcrazynottotaketheprofits,that'sfine,it'sprofitnotcapital,andIamconfidenttomakeitback?
SurelytheCGTsystemcanbeviewedasflawed?,asIWouldhavetakentheprofitintheabsenceofaCGT,andhappilypaidtaxatmytopmarginalrate,benefitingmeandthegovernment,awinwin.
Obviouslynowitisaloose/loose-Iknowwhatmanywillsay,However,thepointIamtryingtomakeisthetaxsystemseemstobegearedtopenalisethosewantingtomakeanefforttoinvestingrowingcompaniesandbenefitthemselvesandalsocontributea'fair'sharebacktothegovernment.
