    You don't get the 50% CGT concession, because it's not treated as a CGT event at all.
    It's regarded as trading stock, and proceeds from the sale are profits. And same if you transfer it out of your trading business to your personal investment portfolio (without selling it).

    So different classification/terminology...
    but unfortunately pretty much the same effect on your funds.

    I'd been thinking about some of these things for my own situation, as I probably trade enough to classify it as a business (30 trades so far this month).
    And just rang the ATO for clarification; the above correction is what they told me.
