Please remember, don't forget, that at the time the shares go into John Citizen Super Fund, the residual capital gain is zero and you have already acknowledged that you will declare the gain and pay the tax as an individual. So, moving forward John Citizen Super Fund has no gain no loss. What happens now? The share has been dropping in market value for five months, are you happy to carry a future loss. Write down what you are going to do in various scenarios. If the share price does fall you will not be advantaged by reducing your gain as you no longer have one. I know nothing of the fundamentals nor prospects of this company, in a serious way, but I see the falling share price and just lately an ominous Head & Shoulders pattern, which speaks of future share price declines after several attempts to rise.
