Somewhat correct but depends on other members balances. If you are the only member nearing retirement advice seems to be ok. If not then it really depends on your members balance compared to remaining members. An SMSF is taxed as an entity in its own right with an allocation of the annual income including CGT to a pension based percentage as not assessable income.
