An analogy:I did a U-turn at a set of traffic lights the other day. It was as a perfectly legal manoeuvre, completed safely without any drama. Today, they changed the Road Traffic Act to make such U-turns illegal. I, and many other motorists, will now be hit with a fine, and 3 demerit points for an "offence" which occurred in the past. Some of us "offenders" will also lose our driving licences - damn shame, but maybe that's the way it should be because we're male, middle-aged, selfish, and the gov needs to balance the budget. Is this the sort of polemic you intend bring to rational discourse...?My dear boy, I'm 77 with one foot in the grave, and the other on a bar of soap.
