I have no idea why a capital raising. Is been one of Ken's beliefs for some time now though.
I did read somewhere that they had interest to sell the ayers rock hotel assets on their own [ie not as part of the entire hotel package] - and the numbers discussed were in line with book values - but that the interested party was only after they ayers rock component and not the remainder.
Also - some encouraging signs from CNP with whispers that the banks may not force them to sell "quality" assets at cheap prices - especially if the business is a going concern - when such a move really adds no reasonable value to any party.
To quote Mark Moran to brother Mark from Underbelly: "Why would ya knock off a bloke that owed you money? Thats just stupid..."
