My understanding of the "bidders" approaching the companies bankers is:
AFTER they were told no thanks is when they then approached the bankers.
Rather good article about this and the current debt gearing in an article by "Gottliebsen" on Business Spectator.
Read the article and you might get a grasp on the current debt ratio and if a CR would be warranted and if so in what circumstance.
Rather averse to posters throwing CR around without specifying why they think such an event may be required .
