I was at the AGM only a few weeks ago. Management were clearly of the view that they wanted to go into the appraisal drilling fully funded and they did not want to leave themselves in a financially weak position. The clear message was that there would be a CR before the appraisal. And this has been the clear message in many posts here since. So why speculate otherwise? To wait until after the first well is the opposite of their message. They will not trade the share price like us, nor create a situation where could be left on a finacially precarious Just get the job done and move on.
Right now they would not be sitting waiting for the best price, they will be lining up in advance the funds who are interested in taking a stake in the placement, then they will press the go button. No immediate rush, but there is a clear window they are working in.
