Why do you take so much comfort from being "on budget"?
The problem has always been how to reduce the debt stack, not whether it meets some management-prepared forecast. No matter whether they meet or beat a budget, it's not solving the real issue. It's patently obvious the capital structure is not sustainable - making a couple extra mil in 1H17 compared to a budget is irrelevant.
We so-called downrampers (I prefer realist / rationalist but agree to disagree) keep getting told to stick to facts not fiction. Yet the idea that "on budget" means all is well and we have time on our side is pure fiction. Whether the 1H numbers are good or bad is a side show now, the game has changed
