Becton management is encouraging acceptance of the deal. It was their poor management that got the company into this state and it is an easy bail-out for them. Ignore the security holders that now have worthless stocks in their portfolio. The decision now is to dump the stock and take a sure loss, or hold and most likely lose anyway..... I'll put my sentiment as hold, due only to confusion.
