-people starving in the developing world while hedge funds take up massive positions in grains

-banks sucking in endless capital in a desperate attempt to keep themselves from imploding from a vicious circle of losses in derivatives

-entrepreneurs desperately trying to keep the companies they have built from being destroyed by short sellers

Its a massive failure of capitalism and free markets. No attempt has been made to reign in speculation and the fate of the world is now in the fickle hands of day traders.
