True boom-bust cycles have been around for a while - they are an inherent part of markets. We are seeing the effects magnified as they apply to more people, new "asset classes", and with greater leverage. Just wondering if this really is an efficient way of allocating capital, price discovery or anything else useful?
Speculation breaks the laws of supply and demand. As things become more expensive they ought to become less desirable, instead the opposite is true. Its a fundamental flaw in the system - I wonder how it will be resolved?
