Does anyone else view the market manipulation that we've witnessed in LYC as capitalism at its worst? I don't buy the excuse from shorters that true investors are not scared off and see the true value regardless of the short term price movements that they are causing. Any investor (traders don't count) know that this share is worth more than the current market value.
What is really scaring me is the control and efficiencies that the new algorithmic trading are capable of. They are finding new ways to wrangle our money from us. Surely the governments must see this as immoral? Why else would they put the temporary bans on short selling last GFC?
While I am comfortable with riding this thing out (actually doubled my holdings), I feel this is ridiculous for the mum and dad investors out there.
