    I don't think we'll be able to judge - because the next decades are going to be so radically different, I doubt if we would be able to recognise it as a continuum - although technically it will be.

    climate change - if it's really 'on' - will create the mother of all migration series of events - and god help us how that will work out.

    then AI, robots and automation ------- that will more than likely change the entire way we've run economically since - well, since about almost 2 million years back - way before modern humans

    so - I've no idea how humans will handle the future, it's just way too different -

    imagine a bit of a leap in time (but miniscule in the history of things) - say 500 years - if we zip back to 500 years ago, I think we can see a clear progression ------------ but, in 500 years time???????

    geesus - the world might be covered in ice with a few pockets of remaining humans - or humans might be entirely gone for at least all practical purposes --

    what is almost impossible to imagine is that we will be running about the place in some kind of similar way to what we are not - just in smoother clothes and cars --------------- that's just something I certainly cannot see as happening
