it is all a little extreme i agree,
I'm just tossing around a few scenarios really,

so to close out initially de-risks their position, but I think they were also privy to the capital raising and its terms, giving them an initial target of 75c and as things were running quite nicely they have made good use of that and run it all the way to 55.5c.

they have the 5 day Dec Vwap as and incentive to keep them rolling.

the power of the short is as you are selling it, once sold it becomes inert, still a wining position but not adding additional downward pressure, so its important to re load some of them every now and then to givethe retail selling a nudge should their fear begin to subside.

just a theory I guess.
