I think most people should realise that when we are talking FR and PCM its application of that to the woven parts of the bedding ie the covers of mattresses and pillows, not the foam materials inside.

According to the company, Alexicool can be useful in both the woven and non-woven parts of the mattress, including the foam…

The traction seen on Alexicool is also finding it's way on to other layers of the mattress with bedding manufacturers looking to add as much cooling technology to the mattress as possible by using it on foams, high loft nonwovens, and fire retardant mattress socks. Alexium is also actively pursuing other Home Furnishing opportunities like pillows and top of bed applications. (Feb newsletter)

So a company that provides that fabric to bedding companies as caps buys the Alexium products and produces finished caps under contract for a bedding manufacturer, like a Sealy or Serta or Tempur.

Take the example of Standard Fiber. Headquartered in Las Vegas, makes caps in China. It manufactures and ships more than 100 million pillow caps per year (it calls then shells). The pillow manufacturer/seller in the United States orders its preferred shell from a large menu of fabrics and treatments (e.g. wicking, antimicrobial, PCM cooling). The shells are made to order, shipped from China and filled in the US. Presto, you have a US manufactured pillow.
BTW, Standard Fiber says that Serta is one of its customers.

So there never may be a direct contract by Alexium with those bedding makers and, specifically, there may never be a clear announcement with a bedding makers name on it.

Perhaps, but Alexium obviously knows which companies and which brands are incorporating Alexicool in their bedding. And they’ve also given us pretty big clues. Such as mentioning that one of the mattresses featuring Alexicool was a top selling model of one of the biggest mattress manufacturers and had a major relaunch at the January Las Vegas Market. Or that there were big shipments required for a Mattress Firm order in April…

Earlier this year Alexium attended the winter Las Vegas Furniture Market. …..This obviously presented Alexium with a great opportunity to meet with potential customers for it’s Alexicool product, as well as check in on current customers and listen to the feedback being received on our technology. Our Alexicool product was incorporated on several beds including a major relaunch on one of the biggest mattress manufacturers's top selling models. (Feb newsletter)

By the end of this month, we will have increased our monthly shipments of Alexicool by 258% over January. Due to the increase in business for Alexium in the wake of retailing giant Mattress Firm altering its offering, the growth will only increase in April. (Letter to shareholders 31/03/17)
