    By the way, it's not your land, it's Crown land, you just own the Title which means you can use it with certain restrictions (e.g. up to maximum depth of like 26 metres) until govenment seize the land under compulsory acquisition. There's no free land ownership like in US where you literally own the land beneath you to centre of the earth, all land in Australia belongs to the Crown.

    Australian land became Crown land when it was seized for free from aboriginals, who had been living on it for 65,000 years.
