Cannington in its hey day was one of the highest grade and largest silver deposits in the world and still produces 11M oz Ag a year. It still sits in the top 10 after 25yrs of production. It sits 90kms from the Maronan deposit in Nth Qld and was originally owned by BHP before they spun their base metals projects (except copper) into S32.
