actually you helped make my point :-)

market didn't like Nick selling his shares - agree, but what was the real impact?
- massive share turnover? .... ~2%/day nope
- major investor selloff - nope
- shake up a few small investors - yep
- massive price impact? nope .... if we compare todays close to the full trading day before the announcement we find that todays's close is:
- higher than the open of the day before the announcement and
- only 8c off the high of the day before the announcement
- is this now old news - yep

Now if you are driving a car and spend most of your time looking in the rear view mirror you will most likely crash into something happening front of you - then blame it on what you saw in the mirror.

My basic point is that if you get preoccupied with old news (the past) you will distort your future view.

My contention is that the flatness of the market at present is not because of Nick's sale (which is old news and has already been factored in) but more likely due to the impending investor briefing and the awaiting of the Chinese export pricing adjustment expected this week.
