SAS - might be launching 2020 - narrowband. - maybe 6 satellites.
I'm not sure why people think they ever had a monopoly in the market.
The broadband players can easily create a cheap low data quota product to compete with a cheap product provided by SAS - why wouldn't they fight for market share- incremental cost for each customer is miniscule- cost is in building and launching the sats.
