I'm noting that shares under the entitlement offer start trading in 7 October, with Record date on for dividend on 11 October and Close of entitlement offer also on 11 of October.
Question:
1. How can the shares list before the entitlement offer closes?
2. Doesn't that mean the new shares would be eligible for the dividend? Pretty sure that's not the case as I don't understand that deferred settlement basis means.

* Record date for 2019 Final Dividend4 Friday 11 October 2019
