I went to Burkina Faso recently. There is a 3-way alliance: Mali, BF and Niger. So Mali's behaviour will affect these countries as well. This will also increase tensions with pro-French countries such as Cote d'ivoire.
Put simply the sovereign risk of all of French-speaking Africa has increased substantially.
