Tox Free Solutions thermal desorption technology has successfully demonstrated its capability to process waste car tyres. Car tyres are a huge environmental problem world wide with stockpiles waiting on a technical solution to process and recycle. The Tox Free technology can convert shredded car tyres to carbon black, hydrocarbon condensate and high calorific gas. The energy produced in the process can be captured and converted to electricity. The recovered carbon black has sequestration and filtration applications and in a worst case application, can be utilised as a brown coal replacement in coal fired power plants.

This technology has world-wide applications and is sustainable by the generation on average of 1 waste car tyre per head of population per year.
