Nothing wrong with dumb ,blind optimism! It's almost a prerequisite when dealing with OZL (IMO). I ask myself why would a mining company with a very large share turnover resort to making a substantial on market share buy back worth U.S.$200m at an average price of nearly $10 per share during the 2011-2012 copper boom ? Brilliant ploy to ruin the poor blind long term S.H. when things turn down ! (What are they now,$3+ if you're lucky !) I thought share buy backs were mostly used by companies to provide a market for their rarely traded shares ? Since the investment in SFR things have deteriorated somewhat . The boom copper prices have evaporated so Carrapateena at U.S.$250m ain't looking that rosy now. The resource is big but for an U.G. mine not looking like a cert money spinner .Prominent Hill's life as an open cut will soon end but what a cracker mine to have had during the boom years. Maybe the fly-in fly-out deal will take it's toll on the Balance Sheet too . I suspect the kitty ain't so full now . Surely management must take at least some of the blame (IMO) Don't knock me over when we both rush to grab the $5.80 ! Best of luck to all .
